Clutch plates

Clutch /brake/ plates

Power transmission between the engine and the technological device is done with the use of clutches.

One of the clutch designs consists in a frictional system comprising:

- A metal plate mounted on the engine shaft
- The clutch plate mounted on the equipment driving shaft and pressed to the metal plate

The composition of materials used to make the clutch plate is selected so as to obtain the friction factor between both plates of at least 0.45. At the same time the material of the clutch plate should be featured by the highest possible ability to transfer heat from the friction zone.
